Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Newark, NJ.
**What is your current position? **
I’m currently a payment specialist for ACV and my job is to keep payments and titles up to date for one of our largest accounts. Most of my day-to-day work is processing checks that come for buyer payments and seller refunds. Right now we get about 270 titles and 150 checks a day, but those are the light days! I also handle financial floorplan accounts and all walk-ins.
What do you enjoy about working at ACV?
The family feeling and how we all help each other. I love how the founders work right next you. They’re really enthusiastic about suggestions from everyone and show concern for their team. ACV has helped me become more confident in my ability to succeed.
What was your journey to joining the automotive industry?
I started with Armed Guard work and slowly wanted to work more in the customer service field once I changed careers. I found that working with people and helping solve problems was something I perfected. So when I started at ACV, I felt like I finally found the perfect job. I’m doing what I love: solving problems and helping my team meet goals.
What work were you doing prior to ACV Auctions?
10 years as a security officer with Capital One.
What’s your dream car?
I always wanted a Jeep Cherokee. The new ones are so beautiful.
What are some things you do outside of work?
When I’m not working, I’m usually online sneaker shopping or at the mall. My favorites are Jordans, Nike, and Vans. I love fishing and the outdoors. I love just relaxing and watching horror movies at home.
What’s an interesting fact that most people don’t know about you?
I create custom bow ties and accessories for dogs. My company is called Nikita Couture. I’m an amazing seamstress.
