AFIP Certification

AFIP, the Association of Finance and Insurance Professionals, offers a certification program that tests F&I managers on their understanding of federal and state consumer protection regulations, ethical selling practices, and proper disclosure requirements. Certification requires passing a comprehensive exam and completing continuing education.

The F&I office is one of the most heavily regulated areas of a dealership. AFIP certification demonstrates a commitment to compliance and ethical conduct, which protects both the customer and the dealership from legal exposure. Many dealer groups now require or strongly prefer AFIP-certified F&I managers.
