DC Fast Charging

What is DC Fast Charging?

DC Fast Charging (DCFC) delivers direct current straight to the EV battery, bypassing the onboard charger and significantly reducing charge time. Depending on vehicle and charger output, it can add 100 to 200 miles of range in 20 to 60 minutes. Common standards include CCS, CHAdeMO, and NACS.

Why DC Fast Charging Matters

DC fast charging capability affects a used EV's retail value and marketability. Dealers should confirm fast charging compatibility and maximum charge rate when appraising and pricing used EVs, as customers increasingly ask about charging infrastructure.
