What Is Marketplace 2.0?

Marketplace 2.0 is a re-designed ACV Auctions App experience built with our dealers in mind. After all the great feedback we’ve gotten from our customers on our web experience, we’ve upgraded our mobile experience to include the same features on our iOS and Android apps. Dealers will be able to carry out the following tasks easily:

  • View the list of auctions, switching between Auction Types
  • Easy access to Filters
  • Creation and management of Saved Searches
  • Receive timely notifications when there is a match for the Saved Searches
  • Experience faster app performance rates 
  • How do I update my ACV Auctions App version?
    • If you're an Iphone user:
    • Open the App Store.
    • Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
    • Scroll to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to the ACV Auctions app to only update that app, or tap Update All.
    • If you’re an Android user:
    • Open the Google Play Store app.
    • At the top right, tap the profile icon.
    • Tap Manage apps & device. Apps with an update available are labeled "Update available."
    • Tap Update.
  • How do I update my phone’s OS?
  • How do I turn on notifications?
    • For iPhone, Open the Settings app -> Notifications and tap ACV Auctions and allow Notifications
    • ‍For Android, Open the Settings app -> Notifications -> tap ACV Auctions (you might need to tap All Apps to find it) -> Turn notifications On

  • I am on the latest version of the app. Why don’t I see the new Marketplace experience?
    • The new experience is gradually being rolled out over several weeks, your account may not have been added yet. You will be notified when the new experience is live.
  • How can I enable auto-updates for my app?
    • Auto-updates allow you to always be on the latest version of the app without manually having to update, ensuring you are using the newest features and benefits of ACV Auctions.
    • If you're an iPhone user:
    • Go to Settings
    • Select General
    • Click Software Update
    • Click Automatic Updates
    • Turn on Download iOS Updates and Install iOS Updates
    • If you’re an Android user:
    • Open the Google Play Store app.
    • Tap the Menu (three lines icon) in the top-left corner
    • Select Settings
    • Tap Auto-update apps
    • Select one of the update options (“over any network, over Wi-Fi only)
    • Click Done
  • What do the new Status Icons mean on the auction page? 
    • There are new icons you will see throughout the auction experience, providing a quick view of the auction status.
  • How can I view different Auction Listings?
    • You can switch between Live Auctions, Run List, or Make Offer listings under the Auction Listings section by tapping on the Auction types (Live Auction is the default, and then substituted by the last selected auction type). Further customize by selecting Ready to Sell or Live Appraisal under Listing Type to see applicable vehicles.
  • How can I view Live Appraisal vehicles?
    • Under Auction Listings, you can select to view Live Appraisal vehicles or Ready to Sell vehicles. If nothing is selected all listing types will be displayed.
  • How do I access Run List listings?
    • You can view Run List vehicles under Auction Listings - Under Auction Listings you can click between Run List, Live Auctions, or Ended Auctions listings. Each section will show you how many vehicles are within each listing based on the current search criteria selected.
  • What are Saved Searches?
    • Utilize Saved Searches to quickly search for the vehicles you want. You will no longer need to re-create searches each time you want to view new vehicles. Keep all your searches in one place and easily toggle between them.
  • What can I search for?
    • From the search bar, you can search by year, make, model, and trim. Further refine by price, year, distance (multiple zip codes), mileage, and additional refinements such as fuel type, transmission, auction lights, mobility etc.
  • Can I keep the filters I already have set?
    • We have automatically created a "Legacy Filters" Saved Search for you that match the filters you currently have set on the previous Buying experience. This means you can immediately start using Marketplace 2.0 without having to set up a new Saved Search and you'll continue to receive your existing notifications as normal.
  • How does the mobile rollout impact the Saved Searches I created on the web?
    • The Saved Searches on web (and mobile) will be viewable on both platforms i.e. Saved Searches created on web can be viewed/edited on the apps and vice versa.
  • How do I create multiple Saved Searches on my mobile app?
    • Tap on the Filters button to access the Search and Filters experience. Enter your search qualification in the top search bar customized to what you’re looking for or, customize the various options. Once completed you will have the option to save and name the search so you can search by that filter set in the future.
  • How can I view my Saved Searches?
    • Within the Auctions panel, Tap the blue ribbon to access the Saved searches in the right corner.
  • How can I utilize my Saved Searches?
    • Under the Saved Searches section, you can toggle on the different saved searches you have. You can turn on multiple searches at a time allowing you to view all the vehicles that meet each individual search set criteria.
  • How can I edit my Saved Searches?
    • Within Saved Searches, you can click manage to pull up all of your saved searches and edit select ones, or you can click edit next to the saved search you are looking to change.
  • Can I create notifications for each Saved Search?
    • You now have the ability to customize notifications for each saved search. While you are creating the search you will be able to select how you would like to be notified of vehicles matching your search criteria. Right within the notification preference center you will be able to turn on or off the different notifications you have set.
  • How do I make changes to my notification settings?
    • You can access the notification preference center within your settings or from your Saved Searches. Within your settings, you can click Notification Settings and toggle on and off your notifications for certain Saved Searches. Additionally, you can go to the new Search tab on the web application, and under Saved Searches click Manage to edit notifications for each Saved Search created
