Sheila Hartwell of ACV Auctions wins Bronze in the 15th Annual Stevie® Awards for Women in Business.
BUFFALO, N.Y. –Sheila Hartwell, director of training development of ACV Auctions, has won Bronze in the 15th Annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business in the employee of the year business category.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees and the companies they run worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards.
Hartwell was selected for her 25 years of success leading, training, coaching and motivating teams to achieve top-notch sales performance. In the beginning of her career, she was primarily focused in the areas of finance and automotive technology and had the opportunity to train throughout organizations both domestic and international.
Hartwell has trained more than 172 ACV employees since July 2007. Due to ACV Auctions’ rapid growth, 20-30 employees are hired each month, and Hartwell and her team fill a critical role to get employees up to speed so they can be successful. She not only trains on products or solutions, but has had several opportunities throughout her career to create programs that give people the chance to work together as a team toward a common goal.
Finalists were determined by the average scores of more than 200 business professionals around the world, working on five juries. Their scores also determined the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award placements that were revealed at the 15th annual awards dinner and presentations in New York City Nov. 16.
“In its 15th year, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business received a record number of nominations. With the new Women Future Conference preceding the announcement of winners on Nov. 16, was a day to celebrate the achievements of working women around the world,” said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of the Stevie Awards.
