How to Reset Your Password

You can request a password reset from the login screen. The reset link is sent to the email address associated with your account.

Steps

  1. Go to app.acvauctions.com.
  2. On the login screen, click Forgot Password.
  3. Enter the email address associated with your ACV account.
  4. Click Submit or Send Reset Link.
  5. Check your inbox for an email from ACV or Okta with a password reset link.
  6. Click the link in the email. The link is typically valid for a limited time (often 24 hours).
  7. Enter and confirm your new password when prompted.
  8. Return to the login screen and sign in with your new password.

What to expect

After resetting your password, you can log in immediately using the new credentials. Your account data, saved searches, and activity history are not affected by a password reset.

Troubleshooting

You did not receive a reset email. Check your spam or junk folder. If the email is not there after a few minutes, confirm you entered the correct email address. If the issue continues, contact ACV support.

The reset link says it has expired. Reset links expire for security reasons. Go back to the login screen, click Forgot Password again, and request a new link.

Your account uses Okta SSO. If your dealership manages logins through Okta, you may need to reset your password through your Okta admin or IT department rather than through ACV directly.
