Randy Barone has been in the automobile industry for 30 years. He has held every position from sales manager to general manager. He has been involved in every aspect of the industry from management to consulting and is always looking to bring technology and the latest processes to the auto industry. Barone is considered an expert in custom-designed training for new, used and buy here-pay here dealerships. He is a regular presenter at NADA workshops and 20 Groups.

ACV is proud to announce the launch of its latest programming at NADA 2023 with our new TEC Talks series. These unique, intimate learning workshops aim to tackle topical issues facing dealers today–from wholesale acquisition strategies to managing increases in aged used inventory, pricing challenges, and more. Hosted by ACV auto experts Randy Barone and Doug Hadden, these 20-minute TED Talk-style conversations invite our fellow dealer partners to participate in the conversation and share best practices and learnings as we navigate the rapidly changing used car industry. Dealers can drop in at booth #3141 to learn how vehicle data and inspection technology can optimize their dealership operations and break away from the pack in the coming year.

NADA Exhibitor Pitch Competition
Don’t miss ACV’s technology thought-leaders and engineers, Senior Director of Research and Development Michael Pokora and Director of Research and Development Philip Schneider, Ph.D competing in the first-ever NADA Exhibitor Pitch Competition.
Friday, January 27 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. CT on the main stage!
Pokora and Schneider will highlight ACV’s industry-leading inspection tool, APEXTM, the latest generation of ACV’s listening tool, Audio Motor Profile®(AMP®). The device now boasts a multitude of sensors that record the vehicle’s engine sound and vibration and detect certain emission anomalies. Machine learning algorithms then analyze and compare the data to ACV’s vast vehicle intelligence data library to report on the condition of the vehicle, assisting dealers in making informed inventory management decisions.

As first-round finalists, the duo will deliver an engaging two-minute Shark Tank-like pitch on the Main Stage for the chance to be named the Grand Prize Winner and receive a 20-minute time slot on the Live Stage later at the 2023 NADA Show.
