Where did you grow up?
I grew up in sunny Buffalo, NY. Go Bills!
What do you enjoy about working at ACV?
I love the energy in being part of such a disruptive force in the automotive industry. The day-to-day work we do has a direct effect on the destiny of the company, and it's satisfying knowing that we are on the ground floor of building something so expansive. Being here feels like when you read about the early days of Airbnb or Uber.
What was your journey to joining the automotive industry?
I have always enjoyed cars, sales, and new technology. Joining ACV Auctions was the next obvious step!
What work were you doing prior to ACV Auctions?
Most of my career has been in retail management; I have ran rent-to-own stores, furniture stores, and wireless locations. For some time I was in human resources as an employment coordinator recruiting new talent and onboarding in the service field. Every position I have held has one thing in common: maintaining and growing relationships with people. This is why I enjoy working at ACV– the relationships I'm building with my clients as well as the relationships being built within ACV.
What’s your dream car?
I love the classics, but I have a soft spot for groundbreaking design and innovation– so my current choice is a Tesla Model S. I've been following Tesla since they unveiled the Roadster and love the convergence of new technologies that has enabled Tesla to produce and successfully market the Model S.
What are some things you do outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy learning new things. I am trying to learn some back-end programming languages; I enjoy studying graphic design, and I'm a huge history buff with a focus on ancient Rome. However, I can usually be found taking pictures of my two cats and binge watching The Office.
What’s an interesting fact that most people don’t know about you?
I'm a huge Star Wars fan and have two Star Wars tattoos: Princess Leia holding a blaster and stormtrooper in a sugar skull style.
