Before you release a vehicle to a carrier, you must verify their pickup slip with the ACV Verify app.
Verifying every pickup protects you and the buyer from vehicle theft. Our Terms of Service describe your responsibilities when releasing a vehicle.
ACV Verify is free, and you don't need an ACV account to use it. The person picking up the vehicle doesn't need to use ACV Verify; they just need their pickup slip with the QR code.
You only need to set up ACV Verify once.
Our Privacy Policy describes the information ACV Verify collects.
ACV Verify shows the result right away. After a valid scan, we also text you the vehicle's VIN for your records.
If the result is "Verified"
The release is authorized. You can release the vehicle to the carrier.
If the result is "Unverified"
The QR code doesn't match an authorized pickup. Don't release the vehicle. Call us right away at 716-923-7923.
If the QR code won't scan
Make sure the pickup slip is flat and well lit, and that nothing blocks the camera's view of the QR code. Try moving your phone closer to or farther from the slip. If it still won’t scan, call us at 716-923-7923.
Your phone's camera app can't verify a pickup slip, so always scan with ACV Verify.
