We release payment to the seller after we receive the vehicle's title and confirm that it's transferable in the buyer's state.
We usually review a title the business day after we receive it. Reviews can take longer when we're processing a high volume of titles.
If the title isn't transferable in the buyer's state, we work with the seller and other relevant parties to fix it. We don't release payment until the title is transferable.
After we confirm that the title is transferable, we release payment on the next business day. The payment's status on the Billing page then changes to "Paid In Full".
ACH payments should appear in the seller's bank account 1 business day after we release them. We send checks by overnight mail, so they should reach the seller 1 business day after we send them.
