How to Submit a Make Offer on an Ended Auction

This guide walks users through the process of submitting an offer on vehicles listed in the Make Offer section of ACV's Marketplace after an auction has ended. It outlines step-by-step instructions for navigating the site, selecting vehicles, and submitting an offer using the ACV Estimate tool. It also highlights key features like safety guardrails and offer rules.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Navigate to the Make Offer Section

  • In the top menu bar, click “Marketplace”
  • In the left-hand menu, click “Ended Auctions”, then select “Make Offer”

2. Select the Vehicle and Use ACV Estimate

  • Choose the vehicle you want to make an offer on
  • Click “Make Offer”
  • A pop-up window will display with the ACV Estimate tool
  • The ACV Estimate tool will pop up in a new window. You can select filters on the left side panel (It’s recommended to use the tool to assist in placing the best offer to increase chances of winning.)

3. Submit and Confirm Your Offer

  • Enter your offer amount
  • Click “Make Offer”
  • A confirmation window will appear—click “Confirm” to finalize (fig

Please note once an offer is made, you cannot withdraw your offer. The offer remains in effect for 24 hours or until a seller accepts or rejects it.
