For a valid arbitration claim that qualifies for resolution, Purchase Protection+ lets the buyer unwind the sale instead of repairing the vehicle. It also extends the buyer's arbitration window by ten calendar days.
The buyer can add Purchase Protection+ at checkout or, if they've already checked out, within 24 hours of the seller accepting their bid.
Purchase Protection+ can be combined with Extended Assurance.
The buyer can add Purchase Protection+ if the vehicle meets all of these conditions:
Purchase Protection+ is also unavailable for the following vehicles, regardless of the conditions above:
The buyer can unwind the sale only if the arbitration claim is valid and we have offered to cover part of the repair costs.
If the buyer unwinds the sale, we refund the buy fee, sale price, and transportation costs. We don't reimburse storage, floor plan, reconditioning, or other fees.
The buyer has two business days after we send the offer to decide whether to accept payment or unwind the sale. The day after we send the offer is day one.
If the buyer doesn't respond by the deadline, we pay the offered amount and close the claim.
